The Singapore Arrival Card Policy

The successful submission of your arrival card information does not guarantee entry into Singapore. On arrival to Singapore, your eligibility for entry will be assessed on its own merits. All information provided by you, or on your behalf by a designated third party, must be true and correct. Please note that the SG Arrival Card is not a visa.

Singapore entry passport validity

Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Singapore. If you are intending to transit Singapore to neighbouring countries, make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months. You may be refused entry or turned away by airlines if your passport does not meet this requirement.

Entry is normally refused if you have a damaged passport or pages missing. Make sure your passport is in good condition before arriving in Singapore. Being refused entry can result in significant cost and a long stay at the airport.

Singapore entry rules in response to coronavirus (COVID-19)

There are no longer any COVID-19 measures for travellers arriving in Singapore from 13 Feb 2023, regardless of vaccination status or traveller profile. Travellers must ensure that they fulfil all other general entry requirements below.

COVID-19 Vaccination for Permanent Residence and Long-Term Pass Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination is required for new Permanent Residence, Long-Term Pass and Work Pass applications, as well as the renewal of Work Permit holders in the construction, marine and process sectors or residing in dormitories

The Singapore Ministry of Manpower will only allow Singapore work pass holders and/or their dependents to enter or re-enter Singapore if their employers have obtained prior approval from the Ministry. Further details can be found on the Ministry of Manpower website. You will be refused entry or risk deportation if you do not comply with this requirement. You also risk having your work pass revoked.

COVID-19 test (PCR test)

Everyone, apart from Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents, entering Singapore from the UK (and from most other countries) must obtain a WHO negative COVID-19 test (PCR test) within 72 hours of travel.

You should not use the NHS testing service to get a test in order to facilitate your travel to another country. You should arrange to take a private test.

Once you have permission to enter Singapore you must submit an online health declaration in advance of your arrival. Otherwise, it will need to be completed upon entry and may result in delays to immigration clearance. Short term visitors are required from 31 January 2021 to have medical insurance of at least S$30,000.

Entry for Sea Crew/Pleasure Craft Owners

Foreign Sea Crew and Pleasure Craft owners must submit the following types of applications to ICA via digitalPORT@SG: Arrival or departure immigration clearance of vessel and crew, Arrival or departure immigration clearance of vessel and crew, Transfer of crew from one vessel to another, Extension of stay of crew.

Transiting Through Singapore

Singapore is open to all transit travellers with no specific regulations or requirements. However, please note the following points on qualifying as a transit traveller, and possible foreign requirements, to ensure that you have a smooth transit experience.

1. Qualifying as a Transit Traveller

Transit travellers are defined as those travelling to another country via Singapore, without clearing Singapore arrival immigration. Travellers who intend to clear arrival immigration to enter Singapore, or booked flights which require them to enter Singapore to collect tickets or baggage and check-in again for the connecting flight, are not considered transit travellers. Several Low Cost Carriers require travellers to clear immigration to collect their onward connecting tickets in the Departure Check-In hall. Such travellers should ensure that they fulfil all public health and entry requirements found on the “Entering Singapore” page. If unsure, travellers connecting through Singapore should consult their airline on whether they need to go through immigration, or if they can remain in the transit area to connect to their next flight.

2. Transit Travellers Must Fulfil Destination Country Requirements

Travellers are advised to check with the appropriate authorities of your destination country/region on what requirements they impose on travellers transiting through Singapore. Please note that pre-departure COVID-19 testing services are not available in the transit area of Changi Airport. If your destination requires you to take a COVID-19 pre-departure test, you should do so before your transit in Singapore.
